Positive Hearts
A Review from: "Positive Hearts Reviews Group"
Hello, Joy!
INITIAL IMPRESSION / OVERVIEW:
Wow! This is an excellent and inspiring article for new (and seasoned) poets with lots of wisdom and good advice.
Your writing kept me riveted and I read straight through to the end.
MORE DETAILED FEEDBACK:
I hope you enjoy this review as a celebration of our friendship and find the review uplifting. I was going to default to reviewing a blog post of yours, because I love your blog, but something pulled me to this piece today and I'm glad.
You engaged my senses and emotions as I read this informative poetry article of yours.
My favorite part was the mantras, both your instructor's: “See beauty; create beauty,” and yours: “See life; create life." Both are simple yet profound and worth contemplating and repeating.
I loved that your thumbnail picture for this informative poetry article of yours is perfect for the article's topic.
You convey your experience and knowledge in a kind and easy to understand way. Your informative poetry article was a joy for me to read and helped remind me why I love poetry so much and that there is inspiration all around me, even in the mundane bits of daily life.
I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your informative poetry article.
I thought the genres you selected were perfect for this informative poetry article of yours.
IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER:
In the spirit of helpfulness (and because of the rules of the Tour de Ports review challenge I'm in require that I give at least one suggestion for improvement), I have a suggestion to make your piece stronger. I'm having to dig deep for this as I really thought your piece was not only well done, but perfect as it is though. So if you want to skip this part, no worries at all! Just move on to the next section and know that I enjoyed your informative poetry article.
The only thing I can think of, and I'm not sure that it's needed, would be to include a poem in the piece. Perhaps one about a discarded candy wrapper or other often neglected bit of life that could provide inspiration for a poem. I like it when there are examples, and I imagine others do too.
CONCLUSION:
You have a great writing style and I would have loved to have had you for a teacher.
Thank you for sharing your time, creativity, heart, spirit, and writing with the Writing.Com community!
I hope the year ahead is filled with blessings and joy for you!
May love, joy and peace be yours in abundance!
