Greetings Amethyst Snow Angel Author IconMail Icon!

This review is part of the Astonishing package from "Whack-a-ZombieOpen in new Window. through "Invalid ItemOpen in new Window.. I especially visited your port and luckily found this one of a kind gem. "Golden Peace" captured me like a tiny moth drawn to a flame. The description "What is peace, and how hard is it to find?" fueled my urge to dig deeper into the contents of your masterpiece. I never hesitated to read through and I honestly enjoyed this piece. It's very inspiring and this is one of my worthy reads. Of course, every excellent piece must be given with a review. This review is based on Dave has company Author Icon's guide "The Art of Reviewing PoetryOpen in new Window. and I hope that you'll find this helpful and inspiring.

TITLE:
"Golden Peace" is a thoughtful poem that explores the mysteries of peace, both as personal and global. The word alone gives the sense of aspiration-a precious and elusive ideal. This is indeed a best choice of title. Good job!

IMAGERY:
The poem uses a multitude of imagery to convey the message. From the distinct reality of war and famine to the serene beauty of a quiet night, the poet paints a world both chaotic and comforting. Then there are vivid descriptions of "rampant daily in the headlines" and "drown my rambling thoughts in music.". Very impresssive!

RHYMING & REPETITION, RHYTHM, STRUCTURE & FORM:
Although the poem does not strictly follow a rhyming scheme, it does show internal rhyme and half-rhyme (such as the words "something", "rambling", "suffering", "raging", and "coping". There's also "helpless", "voiceless", and "hopeless". And then "night" and "moonlight" ), which gives musicality to the verse. Repetition is used to great effectiveness in bringing out key points, such as the helpless feelings of the poet and constant pursuit of peace. The poem's rhythm varies, reflecting the emotional course of the speaker. The free verse structure of the poem offers flexibility and a fluid flow of thought. This is fitting for the introspective and reflective nature of the piece.

THEME:
The central theme of the poem is the multifaceted nature of peace. The poet delves into personal and global peace, exploring the difficulties and benefits of both.

OVERALL IMPRESSION:
The overall impression the poem gives is one of reflection and honest self-examination. Since the poet is vulnerable and willing to share their struggles, the poem seems rather relatable and poignant. While the mood is often mournful, there is an undertone of hope, an indication that even in dark times, peace is worth searching for.

Best Regards,
Gervic
