I'll be honest - had to reread a few sections once or twice to understand what was going on. A young woman lives with an older woman, taking care of the place. However, it seems that the older one is abusive, and has even brought home boyfriends that do terrible things to the younger one. As a result, the young woman has developed a split personality, who is willing to do certain things to deal with the problems. A rather dark tale.
