My First Impression:

Talk about a "hook"! Your story drew me in. While reading, I tried to think if this was a true story.

My Favorite Part:

The ideals of both men, while different, were at the same time wanting to achieve the same goal. The "man of peace" did indeed come to a violent end. I'm not sure about the "man of violence", though. I don't think he died violently, but I'm not as sure of my civil rights history.

My Suggestions/Final Thoughts:

You followed the prompt perfectly, and this indeed would have been monumental. Two men, different ideals, wanting peace for their people. Thank you for sharing.
