Something about an antique desk
inspires, indeed, commands
me to dream, create and
most importantly, write.
Writing
defines my being,
helps me interpret
the world around me,
and, along with such necessities
as water, sustenance, air and love,
is the very essence which allows
me to breathe, to feed,
and without which
I would surely
dry up and slowly crumble
away into dust...
a quill with no ink,
a page without a word.
