Winsome Wants

Wandering the willow wood
while watered thoughts of winter white
dilute wistful, wanting wishes,
wrought from iron consequence,
when waiting wolf wraiths through the night
as waxing moon music wrings forth
and I wonder if I would dare
wrench free
from the warm side
of the window.
