The Tower of Wardenclyffe The Tower of Wardenclyffe
In a day grown so dark there came once a light
To shine on our starship alone in the night
The people looked up from their fields and their trees
The frightened gods trembled and fell to their knees
On a night long ago filled with thunder and spark
We reached up and grasped what would cut through the dark
We moved to the rhythm of ten thousand drums
And basked in the light of billions of suns
The tower of Wardenclyffe scratches the sky
With toiling people all yearning to fly
The Master of Lightning in unfinished robes
His terrible secrets will quiver the globe
He stands all alone on the edge of the land
All the world’s wishes contained in his hand
As the waters rush by him he harvests the rain
And sends it out spinning for all the world’s gain
And the tower of Wardenclyffe yearns for the sky
It didn’t take long to teach you to fly
Sink your roots deep in the land of your birth
Feel the wind test you and quiver the earth
Yeah sink your roots deep in the land of your birth
Feel the wind test you and quiver the earth
