His Fate

Never asking for a helping hand,
Proudly his head buried deep in the sand.
Realizing his mistake much too late,
Death awaited; like an impending date.

No one would come, for sure no one cared,
Life would end in a pit of despair.
Obsessed with control a devious fate,
It’s over now; there would be no clean slate.
