JOSE GERVIC LABE, JR.

A Frightful Night The night was quite and still
I leaned on our window sill.
The stars showed their twinkling gleam
The moon showered its dazzling beam.
Then dark clouds rolled like massive curtains
Covered the widescreen like dark eerie mountains
Tiny lightning flashes here, there - everywhere
Then a deep voice roared like a tiger in its lair.
I threw myself on my wooden bed
Searching for blankets to cover my head.
That thunder scared me really well
Like screaming demons that fled from hell.
The rain poured heavily on our roof
It beat too hard like tramples of hoofs.
I'm cold and freezing and all frightened
Praying that this storm will soon end. |
