JOSE GERVIC LABE, JR.
Mother Mary
MOTHER MARY

As I knelt before your pedestal, humble and small,
And carefully lit the candle, its flame standing tall,
The gentle flicker cast a glow upon your face so dear,
A vision of kindness, washing away all fear.

In the candle's humble light, and the moon's ethereal grace,
Your features shone with a warmth that time cannot erase.
Your eyes, once filled with sorrow, now brimmed with tender love,
Tears of compassion, falling from the heavens above.

O Mother Mary, your purity shines like a star so bright,
A beacon of hope, guiding us through the darkest night.
Your heart, forever gentle, with boundless love does swell,
Interceding on our behalf, breaking sin's wicked spell.

Though earthly flaws may taint our souls, your grace does still descend,
Your love, a gentle whisper, a hand outstretched to mend.
We seek your tender guidance, your sweet and holy name,
And pray that in your image, our spirits find their flame.
