On a dark dreary night, A friend of mine once asked, Where do spooks and ghouls go, When Halloween has passed? I researched her question, The truth I have right here, Some answers will amaze, Some answers are quite clear. Drac works at the blood bank, He tastes for tainted blood, Frankenstein recycles parts, Gleaned from junkyard crud. The Wolfman sweeps up hair, At your local hair salon, You never see him there, He works from dusk ‘til dawn. Renting out self-storage, The Mummy fits in fine, Jason’s an ace butcher, Of cattle, sheep, and swine. Witches will stay around, They will not disappear, They send their evil eyes, To anywhere there’s fear. While ghosts of every type, Reside in Mali-Boo, For zombies on respite, The Dead Sea is for you. Skeletons ‘ere stay home, Because they have no body, Scarecrows live in the fields, Because their clothes are shoddy. Some live in the forests, Others wander the beach, The rest of them have family, Or friends on which to leach.
