Two Swans A Swimming, Medieval Romance
Prompt: Picture of a woman sitting by a pond watching two swans swimming and holding a violin.

Samantha sat by the pond as her long powder blue dress enveloped around her. She was playing her violin and the swans seemed to like her music. Sixty-five degrees and it was Christmas day tomorrow. No snow and it wasn't cold so it doesn't seem like winter and it didn't seem like Christmas was tomorrow.

Samantha was a fashion designer and she was glad to be off for awhile. Her parents and brother were expecting her and her boyfriend Damon to come over tomorrow. She loved spending time with her family even though her brother was a lawyer trying to make a name for himself but they were close.

"Any requests? she asked the swans.

"Moon River." said a voice.

Samantha jumped and she looked up to see her boyfriend.

"Damon. Sit. Meet my friends the swans. Napoleon and Marie Antionette."

"They weren't a couple."

"No but I like the names. Shall I play "Moon River?" she asked.

"I would like that."

Samantha played the song and even sang like Audrey Hepburn. Damon never forget why he loved her. After she finished the song, Damon kissed her. The swans flapped their wings.

Damon ended the kiss. "The swans liked your song and so do I."

"The swans seem happy. I bring them bread crumbs and they look forward to my treats."

"I miss seeing you. I think I am done going to France and Italy for awhile." Damon was a Fashion Consultant and resident of who hired models and he had met Samantha when she introduced her line of clothing. He loved it more when Samantha wore here own designs. Samantha's talent and warm personality attracted Damon immediately three years ago.

"Don't forgot about our trip to France in two months. I am introducing two new lines. Course, I will be showing them in New York and Los Angeles next month."

Damon hugged Samantha. "You are amazing. I love you, you know. I want you to design for my company and be the company's own Fashion Designer. Your fashions will still be famous all over the world. Samantha Winston, will you marry me? You are the light of my light." Damon pulled out a diamond ring surrounded by blue sapphires.

Samantha was speechless. She hadn't been expecting this. She held out her hand and Damon put the ring on her finger and kissed it. Her eyes were aglow. "Oh, Damon, I guess I have been waiting for you all my life. I love you, too. Where would I be without you?"

A brisk wind came up and it was snowing. Luckily for Samantha, Damon had bought her coat along and it was getting cold. Damon put Samantha's coat on her and they embraced. They were going to have a white Christmas.

Samantha reached out her hand to the swans and they gently nudged her hand. They swam away and seemed happy for Samantha. Damon and Samantha kissed and then she played "A Thousand Years" on her violin and sang. She would love Damon for a thousand years and ten thousand more. She loved the song from: "Twilight."

Samantha and Damon walked away hand in hand. Her life was complete and she would be back to see her swan friends again. She would definitely play her violin for them. She hoped the swans had a love like hers and Damon's. Christmas was tomorrow. It would be beautiful.

Christmas Romance Story

Christmas Eve, 1842

It was a cold night in England. Abbey had danced with all the men at the ball. Her red velvet dress lite up the room. She was waiting for her true love. The Duke Wyatt Amberton. Nine ladies were dancing and it looked like they had one too many.

Wyatt said he was going to be late. The clock chimed nine times. Yes, Wyatt was late. Abbey paced and the squire's son bumped into her and almost knocked her down. Norton always was a clumsy person. Abbey landed into a man's arms.

"Wyatt, you're here! Abbey's long blonde hair draped over Wyatt's arm. Wyatt was handsome. He had black hair, piercing blue eyes and a killer smile. He loved looking into Abbey's innocent green eyes.

"Of course, I am, my love. I have missed you so much."

Wyatt gently grabbed Abbey's hand and they stood underneath the mistletoe and Wyatt kissed her. His kisses always took her breath away. She felt his kiss was different this time but it was breath taking all the same. Afterwards, Wyatt led her to the dance floor and they danced cheek to cheek and he held her close. He was the lucky one.

Wyatt stopped and got down on one knee and everyone looked at the young couple.

"I have loved you for a long time. I want to marry you. My business trips are done and I will be staying in England. I want to be with you. I love you with all my heart. Marry me. Say yes. I promise you will be happy and want for nothing"

Abbey smiled. "Yes, I will marry you, Wyatt. I have waited along time for this. You have no idea how much I love you. I always will."

"I know. Me, too. Wyatt placed a beautiful emerald ring on her finger. The couple kissed. Everyone clapped and the band played a song. Wyatt and Abbey danced.

A man stood in the shadows that looked exactly like Wyatt. Truth be told," Wyatt" was really Wyatt's twin brother Gavin. Wyatt didn't want to marry Abbey and he didn't love her. She was the most beautiful woman around and he cared about her. He wanted to sail the seven seas. No one would guess or know that the groom wasn't Wyatt. Wyatt wasn't the marrying type and Gavin wanted Abbey and the brothers had pulled pranks on everyone including Abbey over the years. Everyone thought Gavin was killed at sea a few months back. His ship was blown up but Gavin was in Ireland at the time. Gavin had kept his secret and Abbey wouldn't know the difference between the two. Wyatt watched Gavin and Abbey. Abbey would get her fairy tale romance. Wyatt had spared her a broken heart. He was free to do as he pleased. Wyatt took the next ship out. Abbey and "Wyatt" married and no one was the wiser.
