Puppy Love
The silly little puppy romped in the clover patch,
An energetic dog with many butterflies to catch,
A discovery to coyly smell, a wild blue-eyed flower,
Then turn to chase away the jays into a nearby bower.

We know that a happy pet makes a kind happy wife,
She's the key to a man living a long and happy life,
Love is like a puppy dog that plays inside the heart,
A living breathing painting, a priceless work of art.

My friend, don't let history record you've been defeated,
Don't hide behind a chalky wall or declare yourself retreated,
The nature of living each day can be quite lame and frantic,
When looks from smiling eyes return, it's time to be romantic.

Be bold In the first minute, it's not the crazy things you say,
Stand upon those clumsy legs, let your little puppy play,
Don't worry if she realizes your goal's too perfectly clear,
Just hope that cute baby angel with the arrows will appear.

If cupid shows and hits his mark, what an outstanding picture,
A clover heart is sure to make each day of living richer,
And like that silly little puppy, everything's fresh and new,
I guarantee your romping pup's joyfully searching for you.
