About This Author
Writing poetry allows me to exercise my imagination and share it with others. I strive to write for the benefit of the reader using carnival fun mirror images of my life's experiences.
On Valentine's Day
The snow falls down,
And drifts about me,
The cold rushes in,
And tries to freeze me,
Can't go to town,
My car won't start,
Can't keep warm,
Cold deep in my heart,
My love's gone away,
On Valentine's Day

Gusts of icy wind,
Reach to the bone,
Nothing can be done,
Because I'm alone,
She's gone so far,
She left me cold,
Ringing in my ears,
Her words that scold,
My love's gone away,
On Valentine's Day.

I couldn't hear,
She tried to tell,
My lack of trust,
Made her life hell,
Somewhere the sun,
Shines warm and bright,
Lovers will kiss,
On a summer's night,
My love's gone away,
On Valentine's Day.
