By standing tall I thought I could handle, Anything life threw my way. I didn't realize what I'd missed by living, Alone and empty sitting on a shelf. Then came the day I was chosen, To be filled with water crystal clear. Your emerald stem was placed inside me. I felt the strength of our embrace. A masterpiece of splendor and elegance, No color as rich and fair to behold. Bound by love to stand as one, Accepting all each other could offer. Together, we're the center of the world, Providing a lift to everyone in sight. Complimenting each other's exquisite beauty, On a stage for all the world to see. When I was alone I went unnoticed, Jointly, we're a lovely centerpiece. Your fragrance and beauty complete me, By love we're bound to stand as one. Lines=20 *Free Verse is an irregular form of poetry in which the content free of traditional rules of versification, (freedom from fixed meter or rhyme).
