About This Author
Writing poetry allows me to exercise my imagination and share it with others. I strive to write for the benefit of the reader using carnival fun mirror images of my life's experiences.
I Cried For You
I cried for you when you left me behind
An appendage amputated from the body
Helpless and left to wither and die
Why have you forsaken me?
I once depended on you to water my life
Now I drown in stagnant pools of sorrow
My eyes still ache from shedding bitter tears
That rest on misshapen lips
A coastline lost to the ocean
A seed cast in never-ending snow
A prisoner locked in a cold dark dungeon
An abortion performed long after birth
Yesterday no longer matters
There's no tomorrow today
The universe has collapsed
I'm consumed inside the black hole
