Good Friends
Kindly accept my humble compliment,
Your poem well complements your profile,
And interests me so that I'm confident,
Good friends we could become for a long while.

Two souls may become best friends forever,
A simple bond that thrives when far apart,
Finding love no mere mortal can sever,
Good friends are where the greatest pairings start.

When the world crashes and the chips are down,
And darkness chases away all the light,
When surrounded by only those who frown,
Good friends will help get you through the long night.

If you should message this most humble soul,
Born the same year your parents vowed to wed,
Then maybe one day hand in hand we'll stroll,
Good friends with a rosy future ahead.
