Writing poetry allows me to exercise my imagination and share it with others. I strive to write for the benefit of the reader using carnival fun mirror images of my life's experiences.

When, upon her beauty, my sight first laid, I felt such strong physical attraction, But I would not by mere beauty be swayed, Sworn to find a more profound connection. I thought it just another meet and greet, My presentation practiced and refined, Until her voice, unexpectedly sweet, Touched my solitary spirit and mind. Try as I might to remain strong and stern, A skilled player of the cards I'd been dealt, Her gleeful eyes held genuine concern, Such synergy I'd never before felt. Our new relationship solidly clicked. We've easily shared each joy and regret, I couldn't have ventured words to predict, How we've talked and laughed each day since we met, She's quickly become my biggest surprise, The singular way together we move, Stories and feelings we both empathize, A unique romance with nothing to prove.
