I Took a Chance
On you, I took a chance,
that we might find true romance,
and together lightly prance
upon life's floor forever dance.

Fate didn't work out as planned,
Felt like running in quicksand,
Our flames of passion left unfanned
I couldn't meet all the demands.

Now you say that I'm a fool,
Make me feel like I'm a tool,
Calling me out for a duel,
No regard for the golden rule.

So next time I guess I'll know,
Take thing easy, steady and slow,
Remember to go with the flow,
There's always hope for tomorrow.
