As my heart rumbled like a spastic child, Bearing the burn of a churning hot brew, The foul taste of phlegm, my mouth reviled, My lips were as blue as wintertime dew. Bearing the burn of a churning hot brew, I awoke to face another long day, My lips were as blue as wintertime dew, "Oh crap!" was all I could think of to say. I awoke to face another long day, I'd slept too long and was running behind, "Oh crap!" was all I could think of to say, Calling in sick kept entering my mind. I'd slept too long and was running behind, With little time to get myself ready, Calling in sick kept entering my mind, My brain was in pain, strained, and unsteady. With little time to get myself ready, I called my super to say I was sick, My brain was in pain, strained and unsteady, He screamed, "You're fired!" I called him a prick. I called my super to say I was sick, The foul taste of phlegm, my mouth reviled, He yelled, "You're fired!" I called him a prick, As my heart rumbled like a spastic child.
