I Love You
When I was a younger man
I couldn't believe my eyes
I caught the eye of a beautiful girl
much to my surprise

She smiled at me so sweetly
I almost ran away
something welled from deep inside
I found the nerve to say

I think that you are wonderful
I think that you're okay
I can't believe I found the nerve
Or found the voice to say
I love you

When I was an older man
just trying to live my life
I caught the eye of a beautiful girl
I wanted for my wife

She smiled to me so sweetly
I couldn't run away
something welled from deep inside
the words I longed to say

I think that you are wonderful
I think that you're okay
You might think I have some nerve
But with you, I long to stay
I love you
