When hell-bent to the will of a jailor, Blindfolded and bound without question why, The only way you learn is by failure. You might be a damned castaway sailor, A living island trapped by sea and sky, When hell-bent to the will of a jailor. You've authorized who becomes your savior, The uppermost master of all that die, When hell-bent to the will of a jailor. If you're living the life of a player, Don't cop out behind this pitiful cry, "The only way you learn is by failure." Resist the pitfalls of human nature, That fancy the world through a lemming's eye When hell-bent to the will of a jailor, The only way you learn is by failure.
