In middle of the
night, waking up by a strange
sound. It puzzled me.

Laying in the dark
for a minute. Collecting
thoughts. Jump out of bed.

I saw the dog chew
on a piece of paper. What?!
Where was my homework?

He looked at me with
wide eyes I couldn’t resist
~ snippet's leftover

in corner of his snout. Grin
of wisdom and love.
