 Guten tag! My name is Jessica and I'm 19 years old. I obviously love to write; I have been writing since I was six years old, but I became an avid writer in sixth grade. I also love listening to music and studying history. I am obsessed with Civil War, World War II, Russian, Romanov, German, and Norweigan history. I listen to mostly metal, some country, and grunge.

Creating a Happiness Box For 2017
In 2016, I decided to create a happiness jar for the year. The purpose of the jar was to write down things that made us happy or grateful and at the end of the year, you would open the jar and read over the positive moments of the year. It is a way to count your blessings. Unfortunately, the jar only held three months worth of slips and I ended up collecting mementos that I put into a drawer. It was fun opening everything on 12/31/2016, but I wish the jar held more.As I was reflecting on the jar idea, I decided that I would create a happiness box for 2017. I figured a box would store a lot more and as I'm finding nine months into the project, it does hold a lot more. Right now my happiness box is overflowing and I can't wait to open the box at the end of the year. I'll post pictures when I open the box on December 31, 2017.
