Writing poetry allows me to exercise my imagination and share it with others. I strive to write for the benefit of the reader using carnival fun mirror images of my life's experiences.

One day I must die, Like every one of us. I've no fear; a lie, Even if I cuss and fuss. Immortality, Impossible, it would seem, So poetically, I'll keep living in a dream. My name will live, In the minds of man, After I'm gone, In poetry, I can. Until time's end, Like sunlight in a beam, In meter and rhyme, I'll be living in a dream. Not like sheep, Nor glamorous peacocks, When man wakes from sleep, They'll know my specialness rocks. Not wicked or good, Not blowing off fervid steam, Alive in the hood, Always living in a dream. Love, folly, despair, Life, in adventurous lies, Tales will fill the air, After this old body dies. After I know death, From the grave, you'll hear me scream, In your mind, my breath, Ever living in a dream. 32 Lines
