Writing poetry allows me to exercise my imagination and share it with others. I strive to write for the benefit of the reader using carnival fun mirror images of my life's experiences.

I'm an unwilling soldier in an army free of control and have been all my life. I refuse to follow orders, shy away from inspections, I fall short of regulations. I'm ignored. My regimental battalion is just another lost generation of paranoid schizos wandering through uncharted territory. We camouflage the fact we're lost and clueless to when the foe will spring an attack. I bear scars of battles we've lost and display medals from those we've won. I often fall asleep at my post and go AWOL. Tomorrow I'll face a firing squad and my enlistment will be terminated. I don't remember signing up to join this outfit anyway. 22 Lines
