About This Author
Writing poetry allows me to exercise my imagination and share it with others. I strive to write for the benefit of the reader using carnival fun mirror images of my life's experiences.
Speed of Light
We keep reality within sight
Of this, we are quite aware
But traveling the speed of light
What surprises await us there?
Science says we'd increase in mass
Around us, the light would bend
All things would warp as we pass
What's known of physics we'd transcend.

If we forget to set our clocks
Our clocks forget to chime
When speeds reach outside the box
We'll lose all track of time.
Forget my cup of dark caffeine
I'm afraid we'd meet the end
When time passes the extreme
Every reference we'd transcend.

Time and space are variable
Energy and mass the same
Considering what's possible
Can drive the sane insane.
I think my choice is clear
I'll tell you this, my friend
I'm going to rest my body here
And let my mind transcend.
