Writing poetry allows me to exercise my imagination and share it with others. I strive to write for the benefit of the reader using carnival fun mirror images of my life's experiences.
Blind Cowboy and Ghost Dog
Today he wore a cowboy hat,
For the first time in many years,
A horrific explosion had,
Dismembered clear away both ears.

The ghost of my dog lead the way,
The cowboy was technically blind,
With nothing to hold his hat up,
The trail was a challenge to find.

I've lived a long and full life,
But I never thought this could be,
A blind cowboy and a ghost dog,
They say there's nothing new to see.
