About This Author
Writing poetry allows me to exercise my imagination and share it with others. I strive to write for the benefit of the reader using carnival fun mirror images of my life's experiences.
I Couldn't See You
I couldn't see you in the morning,
You didn't go to school,
too boring?
You know dear I freak out without you.
About a half an hour ago now,
Deciding point, you're just too highbrow,
I feel breaking up's what we should do.

Presumption violates my credo,
Dishonors the heart of my ego,
Commitment means more to me than that.
Enduring distress every hour,
Reduces love until it turns sour,
Honesty's my one true caveat.

You've my abiding warm affection,
In earnest, I desire connection,
Congenial and respectful dealings.
However, if you'll be offended,
Insist this friendship must be ended,
Detachment truly doesn't hurt my feelings.
