Devoutly, Lord, I seek for words to say, Most Holy impart words of truth, I pray, And thank you in advance for your wise hand, That raised my body from the lifeless sand. A spider spinning dinner winning webs, It's life inside a rat's fat belly ebbs, A rat that wakes within a snake soon dies, While fattened snakes a hungry raven's prize. So spiders keep on spinning, rats be damned, And rats be rats until you're justly slammed, And snakes keep getting fatter every day, For you may be a raven's meal one day. Not one is sage at gripping death or life, There is no expert knowing peace from strife, As human beings, oft we get confused, Remember grace is ignorance excused. 16 Lines
