Once, to own my own, Asked to make address, An honor demanding sacrifice, I rose, walked to the stage, In anguish to assuage, Revelation came to me. On the scales of infinite time, A moment doesn't exist, The movement of wind, illusion. I lifted my head and cried, "I'm here!" For there was nothing to fear, In the hands of eternity. Courage became a flame, Burning steady, hot, and bright, No breeze to force its flutter. My thoughts bore words one by one, My soul stood open to the sun, And soared among the stars. 18 Lines |
