About This Author
A changeling spirit,
constantly evolving,
revolving around an inner core,
spinning forth legend and lore,
stories and lives
as I come to grips
with who and what I am,
have been and may be.
I am a phoenix:
rising ever above and beyond!

Grateful
Curled up in the nook
in our Maui Room.
'Ka Moe Lumi' -
the dream room
in front of the fire.
The room, which for the past year
has resembled a consignment shop
that was violently ill, was now
clean, emptied of the kitchen
detritus scavenged through for pots or pans
or a baking dish for the last twelve months
leaving us the freedom, the delight,
the necessity of a fire
to warm our toes, our hearts, and our home.
The kitchen isn't quite finished
yet. And our living room is naught
but another area needing to be found
but for now--
we bask, we lounge, we relax, we unwind
in front of the fire, talking of any-and-everything
not remodel-related.
I am deliriously happy.
