Welcome
I'm just starting this out to see how things go and hopefully I can really make this look good, so this will change soon
The World between the Seconds
Prompt: The thing that lives between the seconds.
Line Count: 28
Word Count: 190

There is a world that hums between
the ticks and tocks, the in between;
a hush that hides in silent gears,
where time forgets its polished years.

No clocks may chime, no bells may sing,
but there, the air has feathered wings.
It smells of stars and ancient dust,
of half formed dreams and broken trust.

The sky is stitched in silver thread,
with clouds that whisper what’s unsaid.
The trees wear leaves of shadowed glass,
that shimmer when your thoughts walk past.

In alleyways that light can’t find,
the moments slip like silk through mind;
a lover’s glance, a child's first cry,
a tear that never learned to dry.

Here seconds swell like ocean tides,
and carry what the world denies:
the breath you held, the wish you made,
the name you spoke that never stayed.

A moth wing beat, a flick of flame,
a thousand lives without a name;
all waiting in that veiled domain
where time unravels from its chain.

So if you ever feel the air
grow still with something almost there,
you’ve found the crack, the hidden gate,
where timeless things lie still; and wait.
