Christmas In The Country

Snow and ice on the trees,
A cold snowy day.
Oh no! It's only ten degrees!
Relax. It's winter. It's okay.

Lakes, rivers and ponds-
all covered with ice,
Snow covers the land.
The beauty of the winter is so nice,
Like a loving touch from God's special hand.

Houses all beautifully lit,
Like Thomas Kincaid's paintings-
Christmas tree lights, chimney smoke-
Presents with bright colored bows by the tree.

Acres and acres of woods,
Horses playing in the snow.
The fresh aroma of bake goods.
The sky has a special wintery glow.

This is Christmas in the country.
Life here is the best.
