She needed water... and a whole bottle of aspirin. She crossed the warehouse floor, kicking away a rat that scuttled out from under a flour sack into her path. It didn't make her feel any better.
Two doors. The floor was covered in a pattina of rotten flour and dust, but there was a trail of footprints worn into the grime between the exit and the office. Presumably her kidnapper was part of the Reimerre operation; perhaps they used this office for more than just kidnappings?
She reached for the door handle.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
