Central International Airport This choice: Helen decides to show Justin around on the Waikiki beach • Go Back... "Well, Justin," continued Helen, "I think I can promise you an interesting excursion. Waikiki has some beautiful beaches, not least of which, of course, is Waikiki Beach itself. You'll want to take in the view from Diamond Head crater, right?"
Justin didn't reply right away. He wasn't hesitating on purpose, wasn't displaying a face that said, "I don't know, if that would be worth our time." In fact, he was still somewhat nonplussed that a woman of Helen's beauty would not only talk with him, but volunteer to give him a sightseeing tour. Eventually, he nodded.
"That would be great! I've come across references to it in movies and books, so it'll be fantastic to see it live."
Helen smiled. So far, so good.
"That's settled, then. Perhaps we can visit one of the restaurants on Kuhio Avenue afterward. Some of them are truly amazing!"
The two travelers settled into easy conversation, discussing other potential sightseeing opportunities and trying to decide what type of restaurant might best suit them. Every few minutes, one or the other of them would glance over at Spider. Each time, they were pleased to see that he appeared to have slipped into a deeper slumber. His snores still filled the area, but at least they had decreased in frequency.
The jetliner continued on its southwest heading, indifferent to Spider's snoring and heedless of the activity just beginning at the rear of the coach section.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
