Central International Airport This choice: Justin decides to study his briefing documents. • Go Back...Chapter #4Spider on a Flight by: MB Smith Spider settled back into his seat and resumed pretending to be immersed in this God-awful noise that he hoped would enhance his appearance as a good-natured if somewhat mindless slacker.
So this was the geek from Minneapolis he had been sent to shadow. "Don't waste a lot of conversation, just make sure he gets directly to the briefing in Honolulu" he'd been instructed. "If he starts to get sidetracked, call me immediately and I'll take care of it myself. He has to get here with as little time to ask questions as possible."
Spider hadn't been entrusted with any more information than that. He was told that he was on a strictly "need-to-know" basis and that he didn't need to know anything else. What the big deal was getting this pencil-neck back to the boss's headquarters was a mystery. And that name, Ararat. Biblical or not, it was a joke. Terrorists always took themselves too seriously.
So Spider tried to make himself comfortable on this hellishly long flight from Minneapolis to Honolulu but he doubted he'd do much snoring, or sleeping, at all. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
