Chapter #4

Bermuda Beach

    by: Archivist
Kanya sits up slowly, her head still pounding from whatever had happened to her earlier. noises of shouting and laughter enter her ears. her eyes open to the sensation, The ocean lies before her, and she finally becomes aware of the warm sand on her hands. Further down the beach Kanya sees children splashing each other with the water that was just approaching their ankles, their parents lying on the beach, an umbrella giving sufficient shade to cover them, talking about something that Kanya couldn't hear.

You're finally awake. a voice sounds from behind Kanya forcing her to jerk around too quickly for her still throbbing head to comprehend who she was looking at, The sun shining into her eyes didn't help her any either. "Who are you" Kanya moaned not quite sure how to respond to the new environment. "You don't recognize me?" the voice asked, Kanya's vision starting to become clearer, It was the man from the airport. He sat down beside her and handed her a glass of lemonade, which Kanya took thankfully. She also noted to herself that he had one for himself too. "You're the guy from the airport" Kanya had a feeling that she had seen him before somewhere but couldn't recall where. The figure beside her frowned.
"I guess you wouldn't remember. Let's just say that you saved my life from Raul and now it's my turn to return the favor."

Kanya desperately searched her brain for some memory of him, but only remembered subtle things like the fact that he had a Tattoo on the back of his head, that was only visible when he didn't have hair. Kanya couldn't remember what the tattoo was however, or how she remembered that he used to have no hair. "You didn't answer my question, Who are you? and while you're at it where are we." The man beside her smiled a warm familiar smile, that Kanya tried to ignore. "As for where we are, we're in Bermuda. I had to smuggle us onto the luggage compartment to get us in." He took a sip of his lemonade before continuing. "If you need a name for me, you can call me Nale."

Nale put his drink down in the sand and stood up. "I had hoped you would remember this place, but I guess we don't have time for that since Raul has people searching for you even here." This was a lot of information to take in at one time, but Kanya did not doubt the part about Raul.

You have the following choices:

1. Kanya trusts Nale.

2. Kanya decides that hiding from Raul would be easier alone.
