She put her arms around his midrift. She could feel this muscels flexing against the forces of momentum to stay balanced. It was nice feeling the wind on her cheeks. She just seemed to relax. His black curly hair waved in the wind. She wanted to run her fingers through it. Sarah and Paris were miles from her mind. All wha cared about was that evening and this bike ride. She was not even cool in her wet clothes. She was pulling in his body heat and drying quickly.
They came up to another red light. across from them was a black car with tinted windows. It was parked opposite them on the left side of the street. A man came out of a brick building with a package in his hand. He put on his sun glasses and started to open the car door. Just then a shoot ran out and he fell to the ground. a dark figure stepped out of the car and grabed the package from the man collapsed on the sidewalk. The figure was wearing all black and had a dark dirby hat and dark glasses. He turned and hurried back to the car motioning the driver to speed away as he got in. Jessica could not believe her eyes. What were they going to do? Andrew turned his head to talk to her handing her a card.
He said, "I am going to follow that car. You stay behind and call the police and ambulance. This is my card with my number on it. I will be back to pick you up after I follow that car a ways to see where it is going. It is too dangerous to take you with me."
"What? Am I to stay here? I mean I don't want go but I don't want you to either," she said.
"Duty calls," he replied. I will be back love."
He spun around stopping to help her off the bike.
"Ok, be careful Andrew. I have only just met you and want my drink."
"Don't worry, I live for this," he added before he road off into the darkeness leaving her standing their morning the shattered evening.
