Chapter #5

A Fake

Justin looked and looked again. He decided that he must have miscalculated something, since his notes didn't add up. After five minutes of pouring over his notes Justin was sure that someone had replaced his notes with these fake ones. Some of the crucial details of his work were definitely missing. Sentences were changed, added, and deleted. "This isn't possible." Justin muttered to himself as he looked down at his laptop.

"What is it?" Taffina asked, her face full of confusion. She looked down at what he had written and pondered what could have given the cute man beside him such troubles.

Justin looked up at her "These aren't my notes. someone's changed them" Justin stared back at his screen willing the words to change back into the ones he was looking at before. Taffy's puzzled look increased and she looked over his shoulder.

"Can you rewrite your notes" Taffina asked him. He looked back at her and frowned "I can try but I don't have all my results here, so it won't be exact." Taffina noted the stress on Justin's face and frowned "does it need to be exact?"

Justin put his hand up to his face "If it's not and someone notices then my whole research could be for nothing." Taffy shrugged then calmly replied, "What happens if you don't have the real thing." Justin slumped in his seat "I don't know."
