Central International Airport
This choice: The plane takes off  •  Go Back...
Chapter #8

runway

    by: Ram Effect
The plane's engines whined as they revved up to static RPM for the takeoff run. The plane was on the runway, speeding up to 'vector', the minimum speed needed for takeoff. Jason Abraham sat in the window seat of row 19, awaiting takeoff. Abraham knew that takeoff could be a nerve-wracking experience, especially for those passengers who were afraid to fly. Like Kanya, Abraham thought. He could just picture her in row 22, the aisle seat across the aisle from Abraham, gripped the sides of her seat, awaiting takeoff. Abraham tried not to laugh at the thought. The woman in the seat beside Abraham was gripping the sides of her seat, too. She seemed to be with her husband, who was in the aisle seat of this row.
Oh, well, thought Abraham looking out the window, watching the plane take off. At least they were off the ground now. There'd be no turning back for this flight. Maybe there'd be trouble in the air later, but the takeoff was routine. Even that bitchy new stewardess couldn't keep Jason from enjoying this flight. Abraham didn't know her, and he knew everyone on this airline. Maybe she was a new employee. Jason Abraham himself only got this job last year, and was on his first vacation since he'd started.

You have the following choices:

1. flight continues

2. flight is aborted
